Marcia V.J. Kran Receives the Celebrated Alumnus Award 2006 at the University of Manitoba

Marcia V.J. Kran, Deputy Regional Manager at the Regional Centre in Bangkok, and former Democratic Governance Practice Leader at the Bratislava Regional Centre received a Celebrated Alumnus Award from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba. Presenting the prize in September in Winnipeg, the Dean of Arts said Marcia demonstrated the value of an Arts degree as a foundation for a career in international development. In her acceptance speech, Marcia highlighted that the diversity she experienced among the students and faculty at the Faculty of Arts had been excellent preparation for the multinational environment of the United Nations and for work in various countries. We wish her congratulations on this special honor.
