PROJECT APPROVALS
One of the key roles of the regional Climate, Environment and Energy team is to assist country partners in accessing environmental finance from a variety of sources. The team facilitates access to the GEF trust fund, the LDCF, SCCF, UNREDD and MFF. In the third quater of 2009 concepts worth $11,643,632 and projects worth $ 5,763,000 were approved for GEF and LDCF funding. In addition, projects worth $28,355,000 began implementation.
